Get Ready! This Week Old School Reports From The NAMM Show


The NAMM Show 2013 begins this Thursday, January 24, 2012 and Old School will be there as Ripple's Roving Reporter.  We don't know who he will see or what trouble he will get into, but, there will be plenty of chances to rock.

In addition to the massive amount of talent that will be on the convention floor, the night shows are legendary. Old School To Report From Winter NAMM 2013


Get ready for more music and music-related equipment than you have ever seen in one place at one time.

From January 24 through 26, 2013, Old School will bring waveriders daily (and/or nightly) reports, photographs and a clandestine video or two from the 2013 NAMM Show.  The NAMM Show is the legendary winter convention of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Almost 16,000 music industry exhibitors, sellers of instruments, music accessories, pro audio, music production software - from 65Amps to ZVEX EFFECTS - show off their latest wares and entice buyers, members and invitation-only visitors with exclusive demonstrations, performances, parties and concerts.

Ellton John will be performing before a select group for Yamaha NAMM invitees at Disneyland's Hyperion Theatre, which will be broadcast live around the World.  John Sebastian will be the master of ceremonies for a music industry award to be presented to Pete Townshend.  Tower of Power will offer an afternoon free concert.  Orianthi, Gus G., Tommy Aldridge, Dave Mustaine, Tommy Thayer, Guthrie Govan, David Pack, Robert Schwartzman, George Lynch, Billy Sheehan, Chris Letchford, Willie K., Lonnie Smith, Jon Hammond, Monte Pittman, Danny Seraphine, Alex Skolnick, Jim Beard, Terry Lawless,  Bumblefoot and New York Yankees great and guitarist Bernie Williams are among the artists already confirmed to be on the convention floor.    

Old School will be attending NAMM on behalf of Guitars Not Guns, Inc., (a California not for profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3), corporation that provides guitars and guitar lessons to foster children and disadvantaged youth, as an alternative to gun violence and drugs) and will be Ripple's Roving Reporter.  So ride the wave that is The NAMM Show 2013 right here on The Ripple Effect!
