You may know Shazam as the world's most popular mobile phone app for hunting down elusive song titles or artists. Seriously, if you don't, you should. Just this weekend, at the Sharks playoff game (where they demolished the hapless Red Wings!) I used the app three times to identify songs that the arena played that Mrs. Racer loved. Could be handier. You can download it free here.
But now there's more from the Shazam folks.
Over the past few months they've been filming a series of exclusive, stripped down performances for their new 'Shazam Sessions' YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/ShazamVideoChannel
They're goal is to build this into a new, exciting destination site where fans can come and see their favourite bands performing in free, unique videos. Recent additions include exclusive acoustic performances by Glasvegas, Pigeon Detectives and Guillemots.
If you dig stripped down jams from some of your favorite indy bands, you may want to check this out.
